COMMUNITY CARE CLOSET

Taking Care of Home (TCH) is an established 501c3 nonprofit organization that fosters the ideals of social activism and community service.  TCH Community Care Closet (CCC) began as a way to provide homeless women, children, and low-income individuals with necessity items.  Many families lack the financial security to be able to afford items such as baby food, diapers, formula and basic hygiene items.  They may also be lacking the ability to purchase clothes, furniture, or toys for their young children.  TCH aims to fill that void and support those families in need with the Community Care Closet (CCC) initiative.

Community Garden Program

Taking Care of Home (TCH) is an established 501c3 nonprofit organization that fosters the ideals of social activism and community service. TCH started the Community Garden initiative as a way to help children in the community learn how to live a healthy lifestyle by taking part in organic growing, learning about environmental sustainability, and creating a stronger connection to their community and Elementary School.  Taking Care of Home will be collaborating with Elementary Schools for this initiative and will assist with the initial implementation of the garden and general maintenance.

Clients/children upon completion of volunteer hours may qualify to earn TCH bucks so they learn the value of independency and life skills

Food Distribution Program:

Taking Care of Home, TCH, is an established 501c3 nonprofit organization that fosters the ideals of social activism and community service. TCH started the Food Distribution initiative in an effort to help support families that are suffering from food insecurity. Many families lack the financial security to be able to purchase food during these hard economic times. Taking Care of Home aims to fill that void and support those families in need. TCH’s goal is to have a dedicated food pantry to help those in need.
